Episode Forty-Six - Jab! Jab!

Our first episode of 2025 is a special one, as it's the very last episode we'll ever record at the Communal Creative Studios downtown location, as they've now moved into a brand spankin' new studio at Parkland Audio in Gasoline Alley!

Of course, we had to take a bit of a walk down memory lane, so we reminisce about some of our favourite in-studio moments, and then Ted tests everyone's Oh, Deer knowledge (or lack thereof) with a game of Title Trivia.

For the first time in the history of this podcast, Ryan Lund was not present for a recording... which means things probably went a lot smoother and stayed on the rails, right? Wrong. 

With Walsh and Dustin also absent, it was a smaller, but still highly inappropriate crew for this episode (as the title suggests), which includes a surprise appearance by Communal Creative Studio's own Ryan Kuly, who hadn't been around for a recording in over two years. He hopped on the mic to share some stories from all his years as a sound tech for Bo's, playing gigs with One Bad Son, and most recently touring with the legendary Matt Good. (9:53)

After a slightly-extended Summer break, Episode 40 of Oh, Deer... presented by Bo's Bar & Stage is back! (And with a full house for the first in months, as Dustin and Andrew finally decided to grace us with their presence again)

We have two HUGE guests that we stumbled upon for this one, as we managed to trick former NHLers Colby Armstrong and Jarome Iginla into not only join us for a couple impromtu interviews during the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame Awards Gala in Red Deer... but also to play a quick round of Mad Gab (sorry... Gad Mab) with us, and the results are just as amazing as you'd expect.

On top of that, we catch up on what everyone's been up to this summer, chat about everyone's biggest pet peeves, and wrap things up with a game of 'Things in a Box', which, thanks in large part to Co-Worker Erin, gets real off the rails.
